North Fork Watershed Association

August meeting was attended by 6 members.
To help provide future funding for water sample analysis it was decided to reduce the number of samples taken per year to twice per site instead of 4 times. At the September meeting a date will be set for sampling all sites.
Options for trucking and spreading more lime in the Manners Run watershed were discussed. Finding a machine operator has become problematic. Most of the limestone to be added directly to the tributaries has been added and the results have been positive. Native trout are seen much more frequently and in streams previously void of fish.
One additional membership since last meeting.
Watershed Camp went really well and details can be found on the Jefferson County Conservation Districts website as listed on our home page.
Next meeting is September 11, 7pm.
